Welcome
I am a Technology Integration Specialist who loves working with the kids and teachers in my district. My goal is to give my teachers and students unique opportunities in the classroom so they can explore content in multiple ways. I use everything from iPads and Chromebooks to simple tools like cardboard. Learning is fun!
I enjoy helping others find new ways to integrate technology into their daily curriculum. I push for excellence in my district and share that with my coworkers.
Hi! I’m Stefanie Cairns and currently a Technology Integration Specialist. I work for Oakland Schools and I love every second of it! This year is my second year in this position and I learn something new everyday from it.
I completed my masters at Michigan State University in the MAET (Masters in Educational Technology) overseas program. I chose this program because I see technology being used more and more in the classrooms and I want to be at the forefront of this phase in education. Technology continues to change and become more advanced and I don't want to miss out. This program has taught me to incorporate the latest technology into the classroom while not forgetting about the content and pedagogy that go with it. My district continues to be a place where students can succeed in their own unique way while enjoying learning.
